High Power User Equipment (HPUE) is a class of cellular technology designed to improve uplink performance by allowing devices to transmit at higher power levels than standard LTE equipment. This enables more reliable connectivity in remote, edge-of-coverage, and signal-challenged environments.

Airgain has expanded its connectivity portfolio through the acquisition of the HPUE product line originally developed by Nextivity.
This includes the MegaFi 2 and MegaGo 2 high-power cellular routers, widely used by first responders, public safety agencies, and enterprise organizations that require reliable connectivity in challenging environments.
In many real-world environments, connectivity issues are not caused by lack of signal, but by limited uplink performance. Devices may appear connected but fail to reliably send data. HPUE is designed to solve this specific problem.

High power connectivity when it matters most

HPUE is a special class of user equipment (devices) for the LTE cellular network that is defined by the international standards body 3GPP as Power Class 1. Power Class 1 devices are the most powerful devices allowed under 3GPP standards.
