Long-Range LPWAN Enabled Applications Through Innovation in Antenna System Design

One of the most promising new technologies driving the Internet of Things (IoT) Revolution is Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technology. LPWAN provides a new alternative to traditional cellular/M2M communications, coming in both licensed frequency spectrum (cellular), and unlicensed frequency spectrum technology variants. Both licensed and unlicensed LPWAN technologies promise low-cost IoT devices with long battery life that can expand IoT use cases and enable IoT deployments on a much wider scale. There is no one-size fits all connectivity solution for all wireless IoT applications, and many applications will utilize a mix of licensed and unlicensed technologies. Given the wide range of use cases IoT will need to address, diversity of solutions and technologies is a key requirement when considering an antenna solution provider.
